I watched this film on DVD last night and I really liked it. It was one of Jon Voight's best performances. I also liked Eric Roberts and Rebecca de Morney.
The last scene was sad, and I guess that's why they called the film Runaway Train.
It was a powerful movie, very well made by everyone involved and a real breakthrough for the studio which made it at the time.
