I thought it was funny. It was a sign the Griswalds were back in America.

The entire last 1/3 of the film ruins it (with the whole kidnapping/car chase). Jumped the shark.

I'm disappointed that there was never a National Lampoon's Asian Vacation

Jumped what shark? I don't recall any scene with a shark in this one
