I watched this movie Legend on DVD last night and I really liked it! Sorry to say the Will Smith (Legend) dies at the end of the movie.

You are referring to the movie I AM LEGEND, not LEGEND with Tom Cruise and Tim Curry from 1985

I found the sequel tv series starring an ensemble cast that included Neil Patrick Harris to be pretty mediocre and too different in tone and setting from the original film.

I mean, having NPH's character say "Legen... wait for it... dary!" was the only obvious nod to the film.
