Epically bad

Wow! One of the worst films I have ever seen. Amazingly pretentious drivel "about" America. This screenwriter probably thought he was being so smart when he fact he failed to actually write a story. I could go on and on about how bad this was. And, as usual, Theresa Russell proves she is one of the worst actresses of all time.

I'm curious as to know how you came across this wonderful, brilliant film from Nicolas Roeg?

maybe he 1) likes good movies 2) knows roeg is a director who often directs good movies 3) watched this movie and felt like someone was force-feeding him fat-woman feces for close to two hours, like everyone else who has seen this movie save those who randomly encountered it on tv (if this even airs on television) for whom #'s 1 and 2 may or may not be true

reply

Insignificance, wonderful film.

but they are all like this. If you don't have a taste for it, it's unlikely that someone would encounter this film without seeking it out. Some people simply live to complain about things they hate. If they don't hate anything nearby, they go look for something. He found it.

This was the worst filmmaking experience I have had in quite some time. Usually if a film is this bad I stop watching it after 20 minutes but I stupidly kept waiting for this to get better. I gave it 3 out of 10. I rarely give a film under 5 and I'm not someone who gives every film he likes 10 either. I'm not into Transformer movies and I'm not just a hater who likes to hate on things for no reason.

But I was counting down the seconds till this film ended.

I thought it was laughably bad. The closest movie experience I have had recently was watching The Room.

At least Roeg got the title right.

I loved it. A really odd, quirky gem. Pretentious? Probably. But extremely interesting throughout.

it sure was painful to sit through, it drags on and on and on.

I need to watch this again. I saw it years ago but I don't remember very much about it. All I can vaguely remember was Tony Curtis beating up Marilyn Monroe.
