March 22, 1985: a valiant day in American history

Part of what makes this movie a timeless American classic is that they could've went with another white kid like they did in Part 4, but they decided to go with a black kid. They could've went white again like a million other horror movies before them, but they chose to go black instead. Bold move.

The fact that they also had a token black character (Demon) and a strong black character (Reggie) shows the movie to be both "woke" and "fake woke" at the same time. Truly diverse thinking and very humorous.

This is the type of stuff that makes America great. A truly Patriotic movie. The 40th Anniversary should be a national American holiday.
