Would anybody want to see an FX 3?

I enjoyed the first film throughout , the ending was also neat. That and I found the parts with actor Roscoe Orman(known for Gorgon on sesame street) using prfoanity to be funny.

So how about it would anyone else want to see an FX 3.

reply

In unison, please: HELL, NO!

As it was, FX 2 was barely watchable. 3, unless it went back to basics, would be an absolute mess, especially if they went crazy with the CG effects like most movies do now. Unless they stick to the practical on-set stuff the way Rollie did in the first, there would be no reason to make a third installment. That, and the fact that the script would need to be as good as the original, if not better.

CG are bad move, I agree. But it would a great idea for F/X 3 movie: Rollie's tricks vs. CG. I mean, once again some kind of government conspiracy with use of CG, but Rollie knows the truth, bla bla bla and he fights with Leo of course againts the bad agents.
This is only a main theme of the movie: traditional tricks versus computer tricks. It could be fun. But only with Brown and Dennehy.

reply

Count me out of your unison plea. I say HELL YES!!!

reply

I guess I must be the only one that really liked F/X2 then.

Agreed its not as good as the original but hardly any film is.

I would love to see a F/X3 as long as its made properly.

As in I know it will be Direct to DVD, but as long as its not made with the shambolic cash in attitude of some direct to DVD sequels.

fx 2 was good

reply

FIRST of all - i thought FX 2 was not great
SECOND - just because FX 2 was bad doesn't mean an FX3 would be. It might be a stretch to bring back the Brians but I think you could get a good movie out of the basic premise of an FX wiz entangled in something and gets his way out.

I loved the first FX and enjoyed the second, mainly because I really liked the characters from the first movie but also enjoyed the story. In my heart I'd love to see FX3 but my head says how would it be possible ?? The FX in movies nowadays is nothing like Rollie would have made back in the mid 80's.

Unless the killer they try to catch doesn't notice the huge 'Blue Screen' they'd put the FX on?

Why don't we just wait here for a little while... see what happens...

reply

HELL YES I WOULD!! I loved the first movie and enjoyed the 2nd. Watched the first movie today for yet my umpteenth time.

reply

I'd only consider seeing a third if the Brian/Bryan combo was there. Otherwise, it would only be about the effects, and we wouldn't care about the characters. And I hate CGI.

reply

A 3rd movie back in the 90s would've been cool

Both guys are old and it wouldn't work now. I don't want to see a remake or reboot

reply

Oh, I'd watch an "F/X 3"; yes, I know the second film isn't a favorite for everyone, but I get a kick out of it, because I like the characters (plus it's a film that discusses the early days of the internet a bit). Plus, I like the friendship between the Rollie & Leo characters; yeah, sure, it's a friendship born of necessity, but that's how some friendships begin. I don't know, I like all the actors in the film, and it seems that everyone is enjoying themselves in that film, so that makes me enjoy myself. As Homer Simpson once said, "Sounds like good watch'n".

reply

I would not, the second one sucked.

reply

Absolutely.

reply

A shame they'll have to do it without Brian Dennehy if it ever happens.
