Which ending was your favorite?

I personally thought ending A should have been the real ending, although I did also like B.

Ending A is my favorite.

reply

Yeah, ending A. I don't think C was good with all those people each doing it. It is better to have one person do it, like in the game.

reply

My favorite is ending D, featured only in the book, but talking about the andings that were actually in the movie i'd say C without a doubt.

reply

I couldn't care! By the time the ending arrived, I was simply glad that it was over.

truthfully, i like all three, but a secret dark part of me prefers ending B, in which mrs peacock is the murderer, mostly because she's pretty much a jerk throughout the film.

she's highly judgmental of everyone (like clucking her tongue at mr green's assertion that he's gay, gasping in horror at wadsworth's admission that his wife had socialist friends, and saying "oh my god" in such disgust at miss scarlet when she reveals she'd been bribing the cop), she tries to pretend that she's innocent of everything when she's clearly not, and goes from being so superficially nice during dinner to obvious cold bitchiness in like 10 seconds flat... not to mention that she tells mrs white she'll turn her over to the police if she tries to leave, followed by the little sneer.

it's a great character, don't get me wrong, and i love eileen brennan, but mrs peacock just isn't likable to me... i'd totally buy her as a heartless multiple-murderer.

I agree about Mrs. Peacock. The dinner scene sort of sets up the ending where she's the murderer if you think about it. Her "breaking the ice" and getting into everyone's business makes her look like the villain pretty early on since she's acting so suspicious and nosey.

reply

A, by far. It made the most sense to me.

I liked ending B just because I loved Ms. Scarlet and that's the only one where she doesn't go to jail. Mrs. Peacock was my least favorite so I'd prefer her to go to jail.

reply

The final ending.

Most all of them were dirty, Mr Green was straight (lol), and Wadsworth was the mastermind Mr Body, and we see the chief was incognito :)
