Scorsese's Top 5 Movies

I think this is one of Scorsese's best movies, it's just really quite incredible. Such an awesome script and a funny, yet dark and enjoyable feel.

My top 5 of his films would probably be:

1. Goodfellas
2. Raging Bull
3. Taxi Driver
4. The Departed
5. Gangs of New York

Honourable Mentions: After Hours, The Aviator, The King of Comedy

What do you think are his top 5 movies. Hard to choose, hard to choose.

1. Taxi Driver
2. Raging Bull
3. Hugo
4. The King Of Comedy
5. After Hours

Honorable mentions to Shutter Island, Bringing Out The Dead, The Departed, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Goodfellas, Casino (in order of my preference). All pretty much Top Class and not much between them.

Planning to watch Mean Streets, Kundun, The Last Temptation Of Christ and The Age Of Innocence.

I'm not much into mainstream cinema, but Scorsese's probably one of the best mainstream directors ever, so can't pass his movies up.

I rated Taxi Driver 10/10
I think no other movie he made comes close; I even really enjoyed The Shutter Island and The Departed that many people didn't like that much, but on a different level.
I cannot put a top 5 but I can only express my opinion on the number one spot, if I may!

My list (thus far):

1.- Mean Streets
2.- Raging Bull
3.- The King of Comedy
4.- After Hours
5.- Taxi Driver

Hmmm, the most recent one is After Hours which was released 30 years ago. Whatever, he's directed several masterpieces after that and I'll bet he still has a few more left in him.
