This could have been better than TWOK

Or damn close.

This was the first real look we got at the Klingons and they were a bit,...silly.

Christopher Lloyd's performance was borderline campy, when it should have been downright scary.

He wasn't around back then, but an actor like Javier Bardem comes to mind.

I loathe 'No Country For Old Men', but that was the intensity level needed for Kruge.

He was a cold-blooded, murdering, SOB.

The read the original choice for Kruge was Edward James Olmos from Blade Runner/BSG who is abit similar acting style to Bardem , idk why they chose Lloyd over him I think I read somewhere CL was bigger, more physically imposing (6ft 1 to EJO 5ft 9) and Nimoy had to vouch for him bc the studio were concerned of typecasting from Taxi , EJO probably wouldve been great and brought a sinister quiet intensity , but Lloyd was fantastic imo

I also thought that Lloyd was fantastic in this.
