Will the third movie(legacy sequel or reboot) ever happen?

Well it's that time of year again for my annual viewing of Gremlins and it feels like ever few years or so there's talk of a new movie. I still wish it would happen as I think there's many jokes that could be made with the Gremlins in today's world. Do you still hope we see a new Gremlins movie in the near future?

Nah, puppets are out of fashion and CGI has no more show value. Maybe some streaming service will produce a reboot or tv-series to lure stupid subscribers.

I'd say you could incorporate the use of puppets with limited cgi and it would please everyone.

I don’t know as it’s such a different time in terms of cgi and special effects. A modern Gremlins would be filled with cgi creatures and I want no part of that

I’d want a sequel to take place around Halloween. Stay away from the campiness and meta nature of the sequel in the city
