In June 1983 I was an extra in this movie. I was in the start of the race scenes which was filmed in Tucson, Arizona. Yeah, I can see myself in the movie. Those that say this movie sucked are right in my opinion. You couldn't even talk to Burt renolds during breaks or you would be fired. Dom DeLouise however was a really nice guy. During breaks he would come over and talk to the extras saying things like "Hi I'm Dom, I'm in this movie too...Isn't this fun?" Like we didn't know who he was. The food was great though and I got $100 for 2 days work....

Where is he now?

What's he doing for you? Nothing!

And the fact that you made a big point that you were in extra in a scene where there were hundreds of extras means that you have no future in film, because you posted this in 2005 and the movei was made in 1984 - actually in 1983 and if you had any real merit in film, you would have gladly posted all the otehr work you did.

Nobody cares about your "career" as an extra in a film that was made over 20 years ago, of a movie which did not break the top ten or top twenty favourites of all time.

So keep those memories alive by posting your "I was an extra in this movie" on as many sits as youo can and maybe someday when you are bordering 90, you will have somebody say..."Oh yeah, I think I saw that movie once...Really?"

And as you tell your glory days of being an extra in Cannonball Run 2 - that person will have died of old age.

This film was made long before the internet came along - it was even early days for BBS's back in'84.

He never said he wanted to an actor or a star.
He most likely saw a re-run of movie and decided to check out IMDB had online about it and the all they guy does is make thread saying he was extra.
He made no big deal about it.

Yet you rip into him unfairly. You are not a nice person.

I can tell you I COULD have been an extra in that lame 2005 'Superman Returns' as some producer came to our cinema to watch a movie and mentioned who he was and some of staff asked if they could be extra's, and he offered EVERYONE a 'role' in crowd scene in the CBD (of Sydney), about 6 of the girls working for us applied and got the jobs.
Dunno what became of it as I was not interested and totally forgot about it.

I love people like the OP posting these stories, oh I wish I was an extra in these movies!

Considering all those movie-legends, cars, set & camera's, goodlooking girls packed up in the 80's would be the best experience of my life :)
