Chad McCann is the guy who broke Sam's heart. He wrote a song for Sam about friendship and taped it for her and one day at school, Sam caught him kissing another girl. Sam was devastated. She was a complete mess until she met Hank Thomopolous and married him. Hank Thomopolous is wonderful but Chad McCann is a complete jerk.
