"It's a Good Life"

that Anthony boy needed a good "over the knee" bare bottom spanking with a big heavy wooden hairbrush for about 5 minutes from each person in that house

i giant bar of soap in his mouth during the spanking wouldn't be a bad idea either

That would teach him what exactly?
You don't expect him to be mad and retaliate in turn? Instead, why not explain to him right & wrong, how others feel, etc...

This segment did not have a happy ending - it's worse than the kid never getting punished. First he "disappears" all the people in the house - and gets away with it ... but now he has a schoolteacher apprentice-pal to "guide" him. Fat chance. The first time she goes too far in restraining his will, ZAP! into the Twilight Zone she goes. She let the monster loose in the wider world. Humanity thanks you, Helen Foley!

first of all i want to say that i think anthony is a good boy... 😨 you won't hear a bad word about anthony from me... 👍🏻 no no. about this remake, i think its very clear that its a happy ending, the woman didn't get in line as the others did and often criticised him, but he didn't react to her with fury as with the others, he listened to her and cared about her feelings, so she obviously stops anthony from... making monsters. as for the others, i figure anthony just sent them back where they came from. actually i was pleased to see that episode finally get a conclusion, maybe i shouldn't say it like that since this was the first version i saw, but the tv episode and (often quite funny) radio adaptation ends so abruptly without a conclusion it kind of leaves you wanting more.

I think Anthony said(when he and Helen were in the cloudy nowhere)that he sent the people where they wanted to go away from him. I interpreted it to mean he either made them zoom back to their families or simply pushed them away from him so they were free to go back to the real world and get back to their lives. This Anthony did not seem as scary and sinister as the original Anthony does anyone agree? I don't know the original kid was just scarier and matter of fact he had a cameo in the diner scene when new Anthony was playing video games. Anyway I liked the original It's a Good Life better because he was more sinister and those around him seemed genuinely more frightened than the people in the new story. I even felt a little humor in the new version. Ok anyway getting back to the original topic I actually think this version of Anthony would be willing to change and be able to channel his powers to do good. However that does not mean he would have slip ups and occasionally someone might be hurt. But unlike the original Anthony who I don't think was capable of remorse this Anthony was not completely happy controlling everything and getting all his wishes. However just because he may not really want to get all his wishes he still is dangerous.
