Does anyone feel sad during the final scene?

I did because I really feel sad on Christmas night when we're nearing the end of Christmas, the scenes with Mom and Dad watching the snow fall on Christmas night makes me feel a little sad knowing that Christmas is nearing the end just like I do in real life.

Now as an adult I start feeling grateful that we've made it through the Holiday season and having to work through the Holiday season can be stressful.

I think the end (of the movie) is great. Recalls the most idealistic Christmases of my youth, where it was snowing and all my materialistic dreams had come true and I'd gotten the latest Star Wars toys and Legos under the Christmas tree and school wouldn't start again for at least another week and at the end of that grueling second semester, glorious summer vacation was waiting. Remember when we got three COMPLETE months of summer vacation? Remember when that was like a vast ocean of time and you didn't even START to think about going back to school until the third week in August? And then, when school started, you had a host of holidays to look forward to -- Halloween and Thanksgiving and, once again, Christmas!

Oh, life for a kid was great in this country when the adults weren't always bitching about stupid political shit!

The Christmas morning scene reminds me of the Christmases I had as a child, and every time I watch it I cry happy tears and wish my Mom and Dad were still alive. I had a wonderful childhood (And I am starting to tear up as I type this!)

I love this movie! It's actually my favorite movie of all time, and while I don't cry, I do feel a little sad. We watch it on Christmas Eve, but it still has that effect. This movie is priceless in my opinion.
