Spoilers: The Ending I don't get it, do you?

I think it's to say the Mother is also insane just like the Daughter but I could have read it wrong. That was Jennifer at the end right not Marry Dressed up as Jennifer coming up from under the bed? Is Jennifer still alive or is that trying to say that the Mother is either Crazy just like the Daughter or they were really haunted by Jennifer's Ghost? I watched this on youtube so the quality was not that good at all, so I couldn't tell if that was Jennifer or Marry in the Dark at the end. It looked Jennifer to me personally.

Yes it was Jennifer at the end. The ending was meant to be ambiguous.

Mr. Grady, you were the caretaker here.

That's Jennifer at the end. This can be left open to your own interptetion.
I personally feel that seeing her at the end of the bed is the mother finally being forced to deal with all that happened.Symbolically -Both parents suppressed the bad memory and its just symbolic. As horrible as life can be - you have to face what happens. you can't run away from whats in your head. the more you try the worse the "nightmare your life becomes" and eventually your mental state suffers. So did Jennifer really appear to her @ the end? or did she just unravel from all that happened as a result of Jennifer;s death. Why did she scream? BTW.. the ending TERRIFIED me. the look on Jennifer's face - "Hi mommy" and that creepy wink. My goodness. I saw this movie when I was little and always remembered that part - I no longer sleep on my back. just sayin!!

Plus, the way she was positioned at the end of the bed made it look like Jennifer had only a head and two arms and nothing else! That alone was eerie and unnerving.

Yea, very creepy in the sense that Jennifer more than likely rose from below onto the foot of the bed, just like the ghost she was.

Yes, you read it wrong. Mary is in the mental hospital, so Jennifer decided to go after her mother herself.

That’s how I remember it also.

Creepy ending.

I saw that movie when it aired as a kid and it creeped me out. The part I think of often is the tied shoelaces and wreck.
