Ah! You beat me to it!

I'll be doing a double bill tonight of Blade Runner and The Thing. Both were released on 25th June 1982.

Happy 40th anniversary to two of my favorite films!

Take a look at the above link for the domestic gross rankings of the opening weekend.

E.T, Poltergeist, The Thing, Blade Runner, Conan the Barbarian, Rocky III, Star Trek III & Firefox were all in theaters at the same time.

Ridiculous line up! You don't get that strength of competition these days.

I would've watched BR tonight as a tribute but am working through The Batman

I'm quite a sentimentalist. When these anniversaries come around and I'm aware of it, I do an anniversary viewing.

I've started keeping track of them on IMDB. I watched Poltergeist a week before it's 40th anniversary and only realized the anniversary came and went two weeks after it. If I'd have known I'd have not watched it that night and waited for an anniversary viewing.

'Working through The Batman' - yeah that just about sums it up for me too. BR is how you do a sci-fi detective story.

That is an impressive top 15.
