Bo Derek getting bathed by other women!

I thought that scene late in the film where Bo Derek is tied down and then bathed by the other women was very nice to behold! Bo's body is beautiful to begin with, and watching other women's hands washing her was definitely one of the more enjoyable moments in this otherwise mediocre film adaptation of the Tarzan story.

Bo Derek certainly had a beautiful body, didn't she?

Too true!

You take away Bo getting bathed by those other women and there's nothing left in this film worth watching!

It was HOT!!!

Very true. Not every woman would look great covered in white paint, but Bo pulled it off.

Why was Jane (Bo) so upset? I mean, not every woman gets bathed like that by other women! I thought Jane was being treated like royalty, but instead of enjoying the experience she was all crying and whiney! I mean, really!

It's not everyday that tribal women living in the middle of the jungle get to bathe a beautiful woman with a body like Bo Derek's!

reply

I'm quite sure they enjoyed every minute of it!

(I know I would have!)

It's a scene that shows up often in jungle movies like this. The woman is ceremonially bathed or painted to mark her initiation into the tribe or cult. Ursula Andress and Janet Agren get the same treatment in those Italian cannibal movies.

I think it's nice when primitive cultures paint the bodies of nude women before sacrificing them.

I think it's also great when this first includes women sensually bathing the captive women!

Ursula Andress was on a beach in Jamaica collecting shells. No one bathed her. I don't know about the other woman though

I know this post was over 4 yrs ago but the reason Jane was not enjoying it and was crying is because they were using some kind of bristle type brushes and were scrubbing hard for she has a line where she said she was being washed like a horse so it was hurting her although we didnt see her skin turning red or bleeding but still that was my take on why she was crying about it.

Oh i see that mintberrycrunch (last post at the bottom) posted a link that shows exactly that scene where she says the horse line but its hilarious to watch it in that context being repeated over and over.

In fact the washing and body sequences were made shorter as cut they were deleted/shortened by a couple of minutes as a result of Edgar Rice Burroughs estate suing the Derek's for being too racy and showing too much Jane! The Judge apparently sided with the Tarzan creators' estate claim. Someone in the cutting room had the forethought to distribute the deleted scenes on the blackmarket at the time. My brother who owned a video distribution company was able to aquire a copy of the several minutes of deleted scenes and I was fortunate back then to see what all the fuss was about. It's a pity those scenes can't find their way back into a reissued print.

belleinboots --- Wow! Deleted scenes with additional video of Bo's beautiful nude body getting bathed by other women!

That sounds to me like the best parts of this film were left on the cutting room floor!

Why can't a heterosexual guy
Tell a heterosexual guy
That he thinks his booty is fly?

OHM MY GOD THIS IS SO TRUE. The movie had been pretty awful for at least half of it's running time, but things picked up with Derek's first nude swim (when she first encountered Tarzan). However once we got to that extraordinarily kinky washing scene, followed by the kinky body painting scene and then finally another nude swim with Tarzan as he removed the last of her body paint; ALL WAS FORGIVEN. Yes it still remains a pretty bad film, but I am still so glad I watched it for those scenes alone. Bo Derek's body in all its glory really was A TEN.
