I enjoyed it, but it must have been a slow year at the movies.

Best actor/actress really? Were their performances that good or overrated? What other good performances went up against them that year? I didn't mind the movie or their acting (Fonda/Hepburn), but it's not the type of drama I normally see. I just expected a bit more with the awards it won and got nominated for.

I definitely wouldn't call 1981 a slow year at the movies. See this was a film. They don't make films any more - they make ... hard drives.
