This is the best Mad Max movie

I watched Fury Road twice already, very good movie. But it just can´t beat Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior. In fact, if Fury Road has 8.7/10, Mad Max 2 should have a higher score. I just re-watched MM2 again, and it´s a much better movie in every aspect. The "strangeness" is bigger and better. I love Tom Hardy, but Max is Mel.

Have not seen Fury Road yet, but I agree MM 2 is the best I've seen (my favorite of the series by far).

you should make a point of getting to see it. i was sceptical that it would be any good, and while it's an over the top action movie, it's still a good romp. it's a lot more flash and style than Road Warrior, but i enjoyed it. i'd say it's as good as we are ever going to get under the banner of a 'modern blockbuster hollywood' movie.

Agreed! Fury road is overrated in my opinion. Mel is max, Hardy ain't.

MM2 is still the standout film in the series.

What I loved about Fury Road more than the others though was how Miller and his team created a film that blows every other action blockbuster in recent memory out of the water. There's not one SW, Trek or Marvel film that comes close to Fury Road.

It's obvious that George Miller has real storytelling and direction talent whereas Snyder, Rattner, Singer, Abrams, etc. are basically fan boys playing with human action figures.

Fury Road is a spectacularly well-made movie, but Mad Max 2 for me still ranks as the best.

Here are the Mad Max movies in the correct order:
1: The Road Warrior
2: Mad Max
3: Beyond Thunderdome
4 to next to last: Everything ever made with the words Mad or Max in the titles, or with the characters from the previous mentioned movies even if they were made on iphones by grammar school students, or even comic books made by said grammar school students based on the Mad Max universe, etc.
Last: Fury Road
You're welcome.

Mad Max 2 is nowhere near as good as Fury Road...Fury Road is better in every aspect except that it has Hardy instead of Mel Gibson but I liked Hardys take on Max even more, so Im not complaining about Hardy taking over, but even if MM2 is the best of the original 3 Mad Max movies, it doesnt beat Fury Road...that movie is just to good in everything, from the cinematography to the *beep* score...everything is just wild and pumped and full on adrenaline rush and so *beep* well made at the same time...MM2 is like a school project today when compared.
