Where are Laurie's parents?

They were at the party with Doctor Mixer, but they likely heard the news about the killings even if the hospital couldn't reach them via phone. Wouldn't they drive to the hospital once they found out Laurie was one of the attempted victims? Did Michael possibly kill them like in Rob Zombie's 2007 Halloween film?

I always thought Michael somehow killed them or they were too drunk to notice the killings were happening.

Did you just watched this on YouTube?
