First ever live-action cinematic depiction of Orcs in a fantasy movie.

The Rankin-Bass TV and Ralph Bakshi movie animated versions of Lord of the Rings in the late 1970s were the very first appearances of Orcs on film, but as far as live-action film, Excalibur showed us three members of Mordred's army, who, while not explicitly named as Orcs or noted in any way beyond a panning shot of the evil ranks, are, in fact unmistakably Orcish.

This makes sense, as John Boorman had originally planned to film Lord of the Rings, and Excalibur was somewhat of a consolation project he did when LOTR failed to pan out for him.
