Why I dislike the ending.

I have always hated the ending because it transitions mean-spiritedly from a tragic final scene to those stupidly jokey end credits with the upbeat version of "Blue Moon" playing. While I appreciate that the film is both a horror movie and a comedy, I think at the ending we are so caught up in the romance between David and Alex that we ought to be mourning David's death -- instead of laughing at it, as Landis seems to want us to do.

I watched the move for the firs time tonight and I had no problem with the actual ending, but it would have been better if they did a fade away cut, or maybe just lingered for a few moments longer. The sudden cut to credits was rather jarring and kind of took away from the last moment.

Because sponges never have bad days.

Not "jokey" at all. It's abrupt. And effective.

It's missing an act.

They must have run out of money. It's hurried & harried at the end.

I was hoping it would break out into Warren Zevon’s “Werewolf of London,” but sadly, I don’t think he’d written it yet when the movie came out.

You didn’t like the wolf points

I liked it. Fit the somewhat absurd tone of the film.
