I've never seen any Jason F.13th film, or any Freddy Kreuger film
I suppose the answer is "if you're into horror slasher"?
It's outdated at this point. So, no.

If you enjoy cheesy movies and don't mind bad sequels in a fun way, then yes. If you like to criticize movies, then no. I personally loved them, and I would watch the whole franchise again.
However, I suggest watching all F13 and Freddy Krueger movies to watch before Freddy vs Jason.
I watched The Thing (from 1982) for the first time a few weeks back, and thought it was alright ish in a plastic molded latex "the props guys have really made something this time" sort of way
shareOh, never mind. Watch something with CGI effects and pretend they don't look like cartoons.
shareyeah I'm not saying it was bad, it was sort of refreshing to see something that wasn't a cgi effect but was actually a classic real (plastic) 'thing'. I mean I've never been a horror genre sort of person (which is probably why I've never seen them) more of a Star Wars person etc
