Who else didn't buy Dolly Parton in this film?
sure, she got laughs and was flashy, but I thought her acting was forced and telegraphed.
shareI did, absolutely, she was great. It’s a comedy with a pinch of caricature to all the characters (esp the absurdly sleazy boss) and Dolly’s southern, big-titted, gun-toting, lasso throwing belle was perfect.
She had a little smile on the whole time, like Jerry Seinfeld. She’s not an actress but gave it a go in this fun creampuff of a film and nailed it.
