Why no English subtitles?
Now, I am not saying that Japanese charaters need to speak English, but I find it baffling why there was no English subtitles for Japanese conversations. Who can explain this was done like this?
Show me the holes!

The way I understood it the producers wanted the audience to "get the feel" of what it was like to be Blackthorne, to be trapped in a strange land with an equally strange language and customs. I can understand the reasoning but feel it would have been better if there had been subtitles (people like to know what is going on).
shareIt was done deliberately and I felt it was a mistake. When I'm watching something I like to know what is going on. Talk about liberalism run amuk!!!
