I watched the video. I definitely remember Coy and Vance Duke. While they were no Bo and Luke, I don’t seem to recall them being all that bad. I didn’t know that the one had died until just now (Vance/Christopher Mayer) and I’m sorry to hear of his passing.
That must have been the best screen writing gig ever. All that you had to do was change the names on the script every week :D Some strange bad dudes rolled into town, that were up to no good. The Dukes foil their wrong doing, usually involving things like jumping the General Lee, and firing their compound bows. And in the end, we find that Boss Hogg was behind it all. The only other equally lazy writing gig that I can think of was Scooby Doo :D
I remember really being upset when they brought in Coy and Vance. I stopped watching. Maybe they really weren't that bad but I couldn't stand watching them pretend to be the Duke boys.
I wonder why they didn't just recast the parts and say that these new actors were the Duke boys now. They pretty much kept everything the same except the names of the characters anyway. They even dressed the same.
