How did you hear of this film??

I have yet to see this and have found it uploaded on youtube. I cant wait to watch it, but how i came across it is really random. I was watching Flight of the Choncords, an HBO comedy show, just a little bit ago and there in this one scene this guy mentions Watership Down as being a film that "chicks love" and i figured it had to be some kid of inside joke. i've never heard of the film so i looked it up. I haven't been so intrigued by a film in ages and i really look forward to seeing it, although i have a feeling it will be very disturbing, especially since i love animals.

I first heard of it around 1982-83. I was in 4th grade and CBS decided to show Watership Down in two parts. My mom wouldn't let me watch it. Years later, I decided to rent it from Netflix. Classic film.

I saw it in the video shop when I was 7 and rented it. There was something so great about this movie that it was one of my favorite childhood movies (even though it really isn't just a kids cartoon) along with lion king. I didn't read the book till I was 12 however and I think the film is a great adaptation!

The circus and the crew, well they're just passing through making sure the merry still goes round

My parents had it on vhs. Scared the crud out of me back in the day (heck, it's still scary). Great movie.

They showed a scene from it in Donnie Darko and ever since then I was curious `

I read the book when I was little and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was probably about 7. A few years ago I found out there was a film adaptation, I was worried it was going to be awful but it follows the book pretty well (without making it horribly cute and fluffy)

I was looking on the message boards and I saw a thread for scariest animated movie and this one came up quite a few times then I saw some scenes of it on youtube and thought it looked interesting, but the problem was my local video store gave away all the vhs's so one year I checked my library catalog and saw that they had it on vhs so I ordered it I was 18 at the time I thought it was great so I showed my brother and sister they found it funny at some parts and disturbing at others.

Read the book (recommended to me by my grade eight teacher)
Actually liked the Plague Dogs better though.

Saw the movie when it came out in the theater.

Well I was watching a video that the Nostalgia Critic had on his site, talking about the most under rated kids movies. This one was not on the list but several people mentioned it in the comments. The title led me to believe that it was going to be something like an animated Titanic just dark and not a love story. I really didn't think anything of it until I took it upon myself to watch Secret of NIMH, which I found online, and noticed that Watership Down was also mentioned in the title of that movie. After seeing NIMH I was wondering if there were any other animated movies that were not necessarily kids movies, were not comedy and were not anime.
I did some searching and, what do ya know, Watership Down popped up in my searches. I found it on Youtube and watched it with my twin brother one night, and with my other brother the next night. We, two 20 year olds and an 18 year old, all loved it so much that I am now reading the book and my brothers will read it when I am done.

I first saw it when I was in 2nd grade. The librarian turned it on and I loved it right away but when the blood and horrors came, she quickly turned it off and dismissed the class.

I know this is a little late, but i was browsing the Legend of the Guardians board and someone compared the books to Watership Down. So I googled it and found it interesting. Hearing about the book, I found out about the movie.
