When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...

I found this film to be quite gritty and enjoyable. John Karlen was genuinely creepy as the killer. 8 out of 10 from me.

It's not too bad, but they exaggerate the whole "based on Ted Bundy" aspect. There's really not much relation.

Quite decent late 70's serial killer movie and the Shriek Show dvd release is great for such a obscure movie as this is. Thumps up!

I'd like to hear what relationship this film has with Ted Bundy. Bundy, as far as I've heard, did not operate exclusively out and around the Bay Area, much less in the vicinity of a bowling alley or any other particular establishment. Did not prey solely on hitchhikers. Did not have one single vehicle reserved for his escapades. Did not have a cat & mouse relationship with any particular detective. Did not leave his victims to be immediately found. The motivations of Bundy were completely unknown at the time of this film's release (and are arguable still today), etc.

His was indicted for the Chi Omega murders in Florida about a month prior to this films release. In fact, I don't understand how they could say "inspired by the notorious exploits of serial killer Ted Bundy" when the extent of his crimes remained essentially unknown at the time of this film's release. This movie makes it sound like they had it all wrapped up there on the west coast in August of '78; like they knew the who, what, when, where, why, and how... and they knew no such thing at that point in time.

Not a good movie at all. Historically inaccurate and unrealistic on its own. 2/10

I think john Karlen's creepiness is due to his charming manner which helps him not to be conspicuous as a killer suspect. He even goes to the rescue of one of his victims who is being bothered by a drunk.

I would give it a 6/10

It was okay, I'd rate it a little better, probably 6/10. Some of the women were cute, so there's that. But the very obvious body double breasts (and fake ones at that) in the one scene were a drag.

I liked the detective's choice at the end.
