I Never Thought I Would See The Day

Where Sly would actually DIE in a movie. I was totally shocked when I saw that.

I'll Shout It Everywhere I go, I Love You Barry Manilow!

The movies 30 yrs old

How about getting a life

I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney, than driving with Ted Kennedy

Hey NYC...

Gotta remember though that this was VERY early on in Sly's career. (In other words, this was before he realized what a gold mine there was in sequels.)

Suppodesly, he originally died at the end of Daylight, but that was changed because the test audience did not like it. That also happened in the first cut of First Blood, too. I do not think I have seen his character die in anything post Rocky 2.

Anyway, Sly's character was based on Hoffa. We can't have him dodging bullets.
I was more suprised to see Bronson playing an ill fated union character in a similiarly themed HBO movie, An Act Of Vengeance.

unfortunately, rocky didn't die in rocky 4.

sake happens

Yes this may be one of the few movies where Stallone dies. He plays a Jimmy Hoffa like character and puts himself in a position where he defies the wrong the people. Stallone's character decides to stay true to his principals after aligning himself with the Mob. That was a huge mistake.

Hasn't anyone seen Death Race 2000?

reply

I haven't seen all of this movie. In highschool back in 2005, a teacher showed my class this movie but stopped at the point Stallone goes on a date with a woman so the class could watch a basketball game. I was mad cause I am not into sports. The movie is not available on DVD or bluray. Also First Blood was supposed to end with Rambo dying but test audiences hated on it.
