Would a remake be as memorable and atmospheric

I've never forgot this movie since seeing it as a young kid and it seems like many people who saw it feel the same. Would a remake capture the original spirit of it, or would it be just like every other soulless monster movie made nowadays. If would be great if they could recapture the magic to go along with all the advances in filming and SFX.

I’m telling you right now, no it wouldn’t. Do you realize that the makers of “TBD” probably didn’t realize the effect it would have while they were making it, they probably don’t even know what it was that they did that made it have that effect on so many people many years later. Who knows if its something that they tried to do. Heck who knows if they’re even aware of all of our reactions & feelings to this film all these years later. Could be news to them.

With that in mind, I don’t think any filmmaker can purposely recreate something like this if they tried too. Just chalk it up to fate, that’s all you can do.

Anyone I’ve come across who has seen this has had a similar reaction to it. Sometimes I wonder if they were experimenting with subliminal messaging during the broadcast lol.
