I remember it being called Project Bluebook

I remember watching this when I was a kid. 6 or 7 years old maybe and I distinctly remember it being called Project Bluebook which IMDB does mention and it had a different intro from what I have seen on YouTube that included images from several episodes including the glowing alien in the window. I was in southern CA at the time and I wonder if maybe they changed it up in different parts of the country. Does anyone remember that?

In case anyone is interested in seeing the Project UFO intro.

I also "remembered" it as "Project Bluebook". However, every television listing for every state (and I did extensive searches through three different newspaper archives) has it listed as "Project UFO", including the numerous newspaper articles about the show. It was even called "Project UFO" in Canada.

I doubt if 581 newspaper articles and television listings in one archive have the "wrong" name, but I guess anything is possible.

The claims it was called Project Bluebook in Canada surprise me. The episodes I saw on CTV were all titled as Project UFO. I can't imagine CTV airing the show under more than one name unless the title was changed for a second season, and there's no evidence it was.

I remember it being called Project Blue Book, too!

Although my recollection is PBB, many of these episodes are available on youtube and they are all "Project UFO" in the title sequence, despite that some are labeled "PBB" by the person who uploaded them.

After reading this whole thread it is obvious that it was aired both as project blue book and project ufo. No big deal. But some cannot accept being wrong so they will keep insisting everybody else is mistaken.

I started watching this in Idaho and continued when we moved to texas. It was called Project Blue Book in both states. Not sure why these few people are on such a tear to demand the rest of us who all watched this and saw it titled as "Project Bluebook" say they know better than the rest of us. This was one of my favorite shows and I watched it religiously.

Hi there,

I dont know if this could help guys, but I watched this show first time in Latin America and clearly remember the local station used the two titles: Proyecto OVNI (Project UFO) as well as Projecto Libro Azul (Project Blue book).

I think they used Project UFO for the first season and Project Blue Book for the second season (or vice versa). Doesnt know why, but yes, is the same show titled by two ways.

Take care.

I live in SC and it was called "Project UFO" during the entire run where I am. Project Bluebook was the name of the files and military investigation into the ufo sightings

It was always Project Blue Book when it screened in Australia.
