Only Hulk adaptation with secrecy that Banner is The Hulk

Where the comics, animation and movies ignore the secrecy part and have everyone know he is the Hulk, not having bullies not notice him changing or think he's dead.

The whole people not knowing he's The Hulk a lot of the time was pretty ridiculous, they always constantly failed to see him change or question where's David gone.

No different than no one EVER finding out or putting 2 and 2 together that Clark Kent is Superman. Want to talk about ridiculous disguises? Clark has glasses and that's it...and people can't tell he IS SUPERMAN behind those glasses? Pretty much the same thing.

People either forget, or those not familiar with this show don't seem to know that the target audience for this show was, indeed, kids, but deep enough (ie. some degree of human interest in each episode beyond just a guy turning into a creature) to interest adults/parents to watch. Hence, it was a family show.

Thing is about The Hulk is that you can't structure it like a typically superhero story, the whole secret identity thing doesn't apply with The Hulk.

Actually in the Stan Lee era there were more than 40 issues of Hulk comics before everyone found out Bruce Banner was the Hulk. The thing with this show is though that it mainly ignores the comics outside of the idea of a guy turning into a green monster. Then again there was no way to do the comics justice in the late 70s and early 80s. Plus the way they did it in this show everyone thinks Banner is dead.

reply

Well you can't have people not know he's The Hulk now and think he's dead due to the world of the internet and CCTV.
