I don't think I really had favorite guest stars. I had tons of favorite episodes; but if I had to come up with a list of guest stars, I think they would be these folks (sometimes because I admired them as performers and as people, others for the memorable way they portrayed their roles):

Toni Tennille (3 episodes). I admired her for her singing. My family and some of my parents' friends knew how big a fan of hers I was, and sometimes twitted me by criticizing her just to see me get annoyed. She was a fairly competent actress and I enjoyed her guest turns on the series.

Maureen McCormick (6 episodes) and Eve Plumb (3 episodes): I grew up on The Brady Bunch and always enjoyed seeing the kids as they grew older, whenever they turned up on other TV shows. Both ladies are very good actresses and probably quite underrated by many people.

Roddy McDowall played other roles than that of Mephistopheles, but that part was far and away his most memorable and most fun. He and Ricardo Montalbán were friends in real life too, as I understand it; so they must have had a blast working together again.

Carol Lynley - episode 'Lost and Found' has a Gr8 catfight in the swimmingpool!

Carol Lynley 'THE DEVIL AND MANDY BREEM' also had the wonderful Roddy McDowall in it. I also liked the esp. where Carol played a hooker on vaction. I think Carol did something like 7 or 8 esp. of Fantasy Island.

Dorothy Stratten, I guess 1979 was a very busy year for her.

Roddy McDowall for sure...esp the Devil episodes....He was such an anti roarke, and you can see how much pleasure he and Ricardo Montalban were having working together again...

I haven't seen the show since it went off the air, never seen it in reruns, and haven't seen it released on DVD. I keep hoping the entire series will be released on DVD someday as a box set even if it's in blu-ray.

But I like Roddy McDowell, Anthony Newley (saw him perform once, live in the flesh), and I know Bert Convy did an episode or two...I think. Females...ones I grew up on what are now considered "classic" sitcoms.

Now...if this was re-made today (and ignore Malcolm McDowell's version which was RUBBISH), who would YOU want as guest stars?

And I liked Ricardo, which is worth the effort to begin with.

I think I remember cast members from The Love Boat were guests too and vice-versa.
