I always intended to see this one before Knock Knock around the time it came out on DVD, but it was something of an hard find at the time so I watched Knock Knock first. Unfortunately, I didn't care much for it at all which was disappointing since I in general love Eli Roth's work. So, that sort of made me give up on finding the original and I wasn't willing to pay to see it. Too risky.

Thankfully Amazon Prime allowed me the opportunity to see the original FINALLY. You're right... the "Dear Old Dad" song is catchy and sets a great tone for the sinister, playful film to come. Like the remake, the original sort of wears out its welcome but the ending is so abrupt and hilarious that I couldn't help but love how it wrapped up the story.

Death Game - 6.0/10
Knock Knock - 4.5/10

I definitely am a fan of Sondra Locke. She was also quite the looker in 1971's rat horror Willard, though not as mischievous as she was in Death Game. :)
