just watched it in our local cinema

to celebrate its 40th anniversary. as someone who has never seen it before it was fantastic. a real foray into the workings of a troubled isolated mind.

where was travis from, as i wondered if he was troubled after 'nam why not go home. as he appeared to love his parents as the card he wrote testifies

I also just got back from watching it at my local cinema, although I've seen the film countless times before on DVD and bluray, it was amazing to finally see it on the big screen.

Yes Travis is a brilliant and fascinating character, I've often thought about his background after viewing the film. I wonder what his experiences in Vietnam were like and what he was like as a young man before the war.

The 40th Anniversary version is different from the original movie?

Well you guys are lucky. If you asked me: What is the movie you would pick to watch on the big screen?

I would answer without thinking twice: TAXI DRIVER.

Saw it in London on a Big Screen, was great. Surprisingly a good number of genuine lols amongst the audience in the first half (Albert Brooks, etc).

So atmospheric with booming music

I would have loved to watch this for the first time on the big screen. Though there's no question it would still be quite engrossing to experience this film on the big screen even if you've seen it numerous times at home.
