Pete and Aidy LEAVING, best news I've EVER heard for SNL!

I have never laughed at anything either of them have said or done, and I cannot wait for them to be gone!

Oh I take that back, the "cancel Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima" skit was pretty funny, when Pete Davidson appeared as Count Chocula. But then again, I was able to laugh because I didn't have to look at his face!

Aidy Bryant is SNL's biggest loss

Bryant, who is exiting Saturday Night Live with fellow longtime castmates Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney, may not have generated the headlines that Davidson or McKinnon did. Yet she had a huge impact on Saturday Night Live, says Allegra Frank. And she did it while subverting the role of "the funny plus-size woman" -- "she wasn’t pigeonholed as, say, the unattractive friend," says Frank. "In sketches, she was as loudly ribald as she was generous," says Frank. "She played straight as well as she played broad and absurd. And her breaking was infectious, like in this viral sketch below, where a costume assistant mistimed a cue and was caught on camera, leading Bryant to erupt into a giggle fit... The legacy she’s leaving behind on SNL is big and unforgettable, no matter what. She could be any kind of character, perhaps more than any of her female colleagues; she was believable as a mom, a child, a sex goddess, a sexless talking head, and even a man. I’ll most miss how she was so effortlessly funny while never mean on the show, even when mocking a celeb or public figure. It’s a tricky balance to nail snark without sneer while always seeming fully yourself—I don’t think most of the other cast members ever handled that mix so reliably. Bryant could, and it was always warm and impressive."

Saturday Night Live is going to be pure trash without Aidy Bryant

"Only 25 when she joined the show, Bryant stole every sketch she was in," says Kelly McClure. "Even if she was only intended to be a background player, Bryant's energy, vocal delivery, and perfect timing made her impossible to look away from; unlike (Pete) Davidson who always kinda looked like he was doing someone a favor by being there, exhibiting the energy of a guy doing a TikTok bit at the request of his girlfriend...After leading three seasons of her fantastic TV show outside of SNL, Shrill, as well as making notable appearances in other shows like Girls, Portlandia, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, there are surely big things ahead for Bryant, but that doesn't mean it won't sting to not have her to look forward to every week on SNL."
