Do you know a Franklin?

No not an invalid (wheelchair user) rather a whiny shit.

He reminds me of my cousin, I swear, the same personality type. Yes he's about as well liked as you'd think.

One of my D&D buddies from middle and high school was totally obnoxious, rest his soul. He wasn't actually whiny, but he was very pompous and arrogant about his supposed genius IQ. Apparently his genius did not extend to personal hygiene, though.

He'd say things like this all the time:
Me: "Wow, I wish I could put on some weight. I'm too skinny"
Him: (Knowing nod of the head) "Malnutrition. Obviously your mom isn't feeding you properly."
(Meanwhile, this dude is clinically obese at age 15.)

or

Me: "Black Sabbath is awesome! I love Iron Man!"
Him: (Smug smirk) "Hmm. Someone's feeling helpless and having adolescent power-trip fantasies!"

He was like a prototype of the "Akchewally" meme guy.

No, I don't know anyone like Franklin, lol, but part of me felt sorry for him, because...

*Spoilers*

He's stuck in a wheelchair, and ends up tumbling down a hill when he has to pee, hurting himself

He's stuck with his sister, Sally, who, deep down, didn't want him to come, and is kinda rude and sarcastic to him

The van is really hot

The Hitchhiker cuts him, takes a picture of him, and blows it up

The others leave him alone to fend for himself when they arrive at the house

So, yeah, he was annoying, but at the same time, could you really blame the poor guy? Lol
