This was the best line in the movie. Back in the 1970's, a lot of hijacked airplanes were flown to Cuba. Stiller was making a joke about that "flying the train to Cuba".

Monty Python did a sketch - in the early 70s - where a plane is being hijacked; later on a bus is hijacked and the hijacker says, take this bus to Cuba! when it is destined for Luton, Bedfordshire; makes sense now..

A lot of skyjacking back in the '70s. Cuba the favorite for the skyjackers.

Because it's the closest country to the USA without extradition.
