Favorite Scene

My favorite scene is when he is disguised as Guy Gadbois and tries to seduce the lady Lytton LOL
And the bit where he puts the second car into the pool while the first one is being taken out!! LOL

I just realized that that there's not one room that Clouseau is in where someone doesn't have bodily harm or the place destroyed. That's the genious and hilarity of this movie!

Favorite scene is him trying to get into the castle and falling into the water a trillion times! I laughed so hard, it hurt.

When I first saw the movie I laughed so hard when he drove the truck in the pool and it read 'Acme Pool Service' and then later he "drove" the telephone truck into the pool as they were lifting out the first truck.

"Then the minkey is breaking the louw"
"What kind of stupid question is that? Are you blind?" "Yes."

reply

When he's in the sauna, and running in and out with a towel on his head, slipping around the room because of the steam. I was crying laughing.

reply

When he's making his way across the dance floor and gets punched in the face! Then two seconds later he's the perfect suave gentleman to Lady Litton.

When Clouseau does the slow motion drop kick towards Cato and goes completely over his head. The slow motion "OOOOOOOOO" with that look on his face makes me cry laughing. Seriously I'm chuckling just typing about it....

My favorite scene, has got to be the bit when he mends the door bell, and say's " Your door bell is fix'ed, there will be no charge " truely a comedy classic.

The best part of the whole movie is the slow motion scene where Sellers and Cato completely destroy the kitchen. I watched that at least five times in a row today and I couldn't stop laughing... but generally speaking, the whole movie is pure gold and a lot better than the trash they tried passing on us with "Strikes Again".

Amen to the slow-mo bit in the kitchen. Hadn't seen this one for years until this afternoon, and I still must have laughed out loud for 5-10 minutes (and that slow roar goes through my mind every time they do the same kind of thing on Fail Blog).

The bit with the fortune cookie is also hilarious. Just when you think Cato'd shown up again when you least expect it (out of the bureau in the hotel), here he is AGAIN, delivering a fortune cookie in a Japanese restaurant.

MY favorite scene is when Clouseau enters the ski lodge. He can't figure out how to get his suitcase through the revolving doors, and then he gives a man his hat, coat, and gloves, and then watches as the man drives off with them!

reply

My favorite scene was when he disguised himself as a cleaning man and infiltrated the Suite with a high suctioned vacuum cleaner and eventually have trouble with a lamp with a light bulb that somehow won't stay in the socket.

reply

when Cato jumps out of the refrigerator/freezer. hilarious!

While there were numerous funny scenes, I have say that my favorites are the ones where Chief Inspector Dreyfuss slowly goes nuts, with the best being the botched sniper sequence at the end of the film. Catherine Schell is so beautiful in this film!

reply

Has the be the beginning when he is looking at the crime scene in the museum.

Officer: But what about the wax?
Clouseau: The wax? Ahh! ::slowly slips on the floor wax::

Another great line:

Clouseau: "Well, if it isn't Sir Charles Phantom, the notorious Lytton!"
