Good sports movies are difficult to make, but the original version of The Longest Yard (I won't even watch the remake- it's a disgrace they made it at all) is easily among the 6 greatest sports movies ever (was going to make a top-5 but who can choose between Caddyshack and Slap Shot?).

Here's my top-5 (in no particular order):

1. The Longest Yard
2. Hoosiers
3. Rocky
4. Slap Shot
5. The Natural
6. Caddyshack

Which ones make your list?

I can't believe no one has mentioned Karate Kid, Downhill Racer and Varsity Blues, three of the best IMHO.

Other worthy ones not yet noted: The Wrestler and The Jericho Mile.
