Jodie Foster

Wow, I really thought that she was a boy. Even after she told Tommy her name was "Audrey" I just thought it was a boy named Audrey or something. Only when she said her name was really "Doris" but she liked "Audrey" better did I start to think...could that be a girl???? I was amazed to see that it was Jodie Foster.

My sentiments exactly; well, almost.

Watching the movie I had no idea the character was a girl until I heard the name. Even then I had to do a double take but once I realized it was Jodie Foster it all made sense. She's always had a very masculine air about her. I guess it explains a lot.

When I read some of the comments here I laughed so hard. I know the movie was meant to be somewhat humorous but I found myself laughing uncontrollably during scenes I know were not supposed to be funny. Then on this board, some of the comments made me laugh a lot. I enjoyed the movie more after the fact than during it.

It took me a minute to figure out that was Jodie Foster, but yeah, at first I thought she was a boy too until she said her name was Audrey. I figured out it was Foster at about the same time, lol.

I came in during the shoplifting scene and when Audrey said she hoped this (her fake accident) didn't hurt her chances in cheerleading tryouts, I was like, "What, boys did cheerleading in Arizona in the '70s?" took a closer look and it was Jodie! BTW the shoplifting scene is dated as with security cameras everywhere they'd never have pulled that off nowadays.
