Should be counted amongst the classics of 70s cinema

Instead this film is never talked about. It's never mentioned.

Saw it yesterday for the first time and I was blown away by how good it was.

The year 1973 had so many great movies. We all know The Exorcist, The Sting, The Last Detail, Serpico. But have anyone seen The Paper Chase? It is just as good as the others.

Today - if remembered for anything - it's that John Houseman (friend/enemy of Orson Welles) won the best supporting oscar for his role as the professor.

I might check this out. Caught my attention seeing this in the Trending bar and I will admit I have not heard of it until now.

Also seems like Gordon Willis (Godfather) is the cinematographer and a young Johnny Williams is the composer. Already I'm interested in this very 70s vibe going on!

Marvellous. You will not regret it.

I recommend that you see it in HD if possible. Gordon Willis ('The Prince of Darkness') shot the film and the cinematography is top-notch. Amazon streams it in HD. Also a 4K restored blu-ray is forthcoming sometime in the future.

This movie has long been a favorite of mine. I love films set in college and this one really captures the mood.
