Did Anyone Else Relate to Don?

Not necessarily in terms of his blindness; I mean his outlook on things, or the way he interacted with Jill. Personally, my mother and I watched this together once and we realized that our relationship is almost exactly like Don's relationship with his own mom. We're both so witty and both use the same tactics in our arguing that we get on each other's nerves so easily, plus she's incredibly overprotective.

Anyone else have any relating to these characters?
