Does anyone regard these as actual 'movies'?

A large part of the marketing was the 'movie' angle, with each one running 43 min (an hour, if you include ad breaks). That's compared to the 22 minutes of previous Scooby series. This was a weekly show, yet there have been weekly TV shows that also counted as movies. Columbo for instance would air weekly - but episodes were typically 1½ - 2 hours long, and regarded as TV movies. So, does anyone actually regard TNSDM as being a series of short movies? Or just as elongated TV episodes?
