Who was Joey?

I see an actress portrayed "Joey." I thought Joey was the mechanic. I don't recall seeing him (or her), though. Was Joey cut from the original film?

I'm betting it was the baby, although I do not recall it ever being given a name.

I just watched the movie again yesterday. I've seen it multiple times over the years. I can't say that I have ever heard the name Joey.
Anyone here who has seen the movie? Have you ever heard the name, Joey?

There were two guys at the bus stop store, one young and one old. I’m guessing one of them was Joey. I wish we knew which one because Harold Condon played “Man” and I’m dying to know which bus stop store guy that was, the young one or the old one. I can’t think of anybody else that Joey or Man could have been except one of the guys in the bus stop store. I would also like to know how Harold Condon is related to murder victim Elizabeth.
