I couldn't help noticing the haze or smog in the background of the exterior shots. I've read that the film was shot at Mendocino, in Califrnia.

Is the air quality really that bad there?

OMG, how did you not check the spelling of California in every dictionary? Bad grammar perhaps?... or maybe just typing fast on your keyboard or phone?
