Just ... i can't even

This was on a "Horror movies you haven't seen but must" 2016 Halloween list. Well it's in the top 5 worst movies i have ever seen. Never creepy, goes on and on and on. Awful, i mean awful acting. Me and my brother were filling in the plot in the first 10 minutes and saying the lines before they were said by the actors themselves.

I could get past the awful cinematography, music, acting if it was at least well written. a 12 year old could right something as compelling.

I think what also killed was the cult status and "You haven't seen this yet!?!?!?" hype on it.

Given your critique of the film and why, one could wonder if you're much older than twelve yourself. Also the overuse of 'worst film ever' is lame. Do you watch like 3 films a year? I'd be happy to give you a list of over two hundred films you'd think are worse than this one. One reviewer here stated that if you're of the Freddy/Hostel/Saw generation, you would find this film very dull. Seems he is correct.

And I would agree wholeheartedly with that reviewer, as in the main, the younger generation has absolutely no appreciation for classic horror. Please refrain from watching intelligent films like this in the future (to save us from banal posts like yours) and stick to things with dumb plots, lots of blood and plenty of stupid teenagers.

I'm no child and i'm not from that generation. I watch plenty of classic films from all genres dating back to the 40's & 50's even. Didn't need your *beep* debate/rebutle. Your one of those who can't handle someone disliking a movie you seem to love. Difference of opinion. It's not facts, rendering your entire response invalid and as worthless as you thought mine was

Go re-watch it again, you can't get that 90 minutes back.

That other person is an ass. Notice how he was just rude and couldn't list the merits of the film?

Didn't need your *beep* debate/rebutle.

If you didn't want a debate/rebuttal, why did you post a review in a message board? If there was no discussion to be has on your exceedingly thoughtful and witty review, it would have better served in...um...THE USER REVIEW SECTION.

I just don't understand people who post reviews of movies on these boards and then get mad when people, who are here because they like the movie, have differing opinions.

Tell that to the guy who got mad when people, who are here because they don't like the movie, have differing opinions...

I completely agree with the original poster. I think the script was vague and dull, with the writers hoping it would be misconstrued as CRYPTIC. HA. More like unfinished. I think everyone involved was stoned and expected the audience to be as well.

I do not watch gasher movies and enjoy the classics like the original poster. You are entitled to your own opinion but I don't understand why you feel the need to be so pompous and rude in defending this film instead of listing its merits.
I wanted to see this all my life because of the title and was very disappointed.

Too bad you didn't enjoy it. Just out of curiosity, what do you consider to be some of the best horror movies ever made?

True, but so am I. And I still love Jessica. :)

Nah, you just missed the point. It's a different type of movie... not for everyone. It does require patience, and it's not a"modern" horror movie. No superiors... different strokes etc.

I just seen it last night for the first time and although it was slow paced, I enjoyed it. I'm definitely watching it again since I own it because there might be some important stuff that I missed. I love Zohra Lampert anyway.

I've loved the movie since I was 10, and I've shown it to dozens of people throughout the decades. I think it's a very atmospheric, creepy movie, and it's one of my favorite films, but everyone I've shown it to finds it boring.
