The Brady's drink a lot of milk

It's pretty amazing that the Brady's have such good skin, despite drinking a lot of milk. Milk is one of the leading causes of acne.

Acne is caused by clogged pores.

You think the kids drank a lot of milk? How about all the gallons of coffee Alice made for Mike and Carol? How they slept at night is still a mystery!

Funny because I was catching some of the Mary Tyler Moore marathon and thought the same thing. They would always end up back at Mary's pad and she would make coffee.

It is caused by many things. Dirt and such gets into the pores of everyone. It's how one's body reacts. People with auto immune diseases can have it worse because of how the body reacts. Certain foods can cause a reaction due to allergies, overindulgence, ph balance, hormones, stress, etc.

People generally ate more homemade foods during that time so that helped to contribute to good skin, growth, weight, overall health, etc. Milk was even more of a staple then. We had milk for dinner and not soda pop.

I agree though that they seemed wasteful. They'd pour a full glass when not expected to drink that much if it was real.

Funny. My family had four kids. We probably went through 8 gallons of milk a week. None of us had acne problems.

I read somewhere that dairy foods in general may cause acne. I’m not sure where I read that though...
