Donald Pleasence along with bruce dern display their usual talents of being nasty with no remorse...they do what they get paid to do as expected but its not because they are great actors....its because ....you know the rest

Pleasance was excellent and frightening as the religious fanatic-psychopath patriarch of a lowlife family. Dern was terrific as his murderous son.
