What's the best Blu-ray collection to get?

I can get a 5 film collection on Amazon for only 20 bucks, but does it suck?

I don't want a collection with any of the new films because I'm collecting those in 4K (which I don't expect the old ones to ever be released in).

Eh?

I don't believe any collection contains both the classic films AND the new reboot movies. That would be like putting the Burton/Schumaker Batman movies in a set with the Christopher Nolan trilogy.

DVDCompare is a great website for comparing best available versions of DVDs and Blu-rays. All POTA films are on the site. http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=832

The best available Blu-ray set for the first five films is the US Planet of the Apes Legacy Collection, this set contains the original mono audio and both theatrical and extended cuts of Conquest and Battle. However, if you're located outside of the US you'll need a US Blu-ray player to play the discs.

Thanks -- I did end up with the Legacy Collection.
